Kota Tinggi

Planning for a short trip??? In that case you can consider about Kota Tinggi. Why choose Kota Tinggi, let me share some experience that I have spend over there with you all.

Kota Tinggi is just located at Malaysia ( Johor Bahru ), you may drive in yourself  is located around 42 kilometers north-east of Johor Bahru.

First places we went once we arrived is to the famouns Kota Tinggi Waterfall at Lombong.

Jerome is swimming in the waterfall.. the water is cold.. But he look likes his enjoying it. Haha.. Yeah I didn't get myself into the water because I don't want to get water at the first place that we went. We still have other place to go after the waterfall.

Other then the waterfall, you guys can go to this place Name of the place is called : Firefly Leisure Park. to take a curise to see firefly (萤火虫). This place they don't only provide curise to bring you out to see firefly they themselves do still have a little mini farm for you to feed little animals, like rabbit, duck and you may have you dinner there too with all this little animals around you.( :
Me sitting at the farm pre-ordering our food for dinner. The owner of this farm let us pre-order our food before we start to walk around the farm. In that case we don't have to wait for so long later on when we're ready to have our dinner. They're so thoughtful. I like their ideal. ( :

Once we have order our food for dinner. Is time to go round this little farm and expolore. Yeah.. !!!

First thing that i do is feeding the duck..

After all this cute little animals here come the fun. It's Fun Time .. Woohoo. Let me bring you back to you're childhood time. xD

Let's start playing with the seesaw

Look at them they're having fun too..

Still remember that seesaw is one of the must play thing during our childhood time. Last time SG can just easily find seesaw almost any play ground but for now we hard find it. That's abit sad to say. But at least I get to play it when I'm over there.

Next let's play Merry-Go-Round ...Weee ~

yes yes i'm feeling abit giddy after a few turn BUT i'm having fun .. hehe..

Okay after all this fun is time to go for our dinner and get ready to go for the firefly curise. ( :

On the cruise listening to the uncle explaining about the firefly etc etc..

This ride is about 15min to 25min though is just a short ride but is a good experience.

Should try it. ( :

 

They even have Sky Lantern (天灯)is just like a mini version of hot air balloon that made out of paper and we're allow us to write. For example you may write something you wish for or some blessing words.

KuChing Trip - TwO

First day of our trip at Kuching we ended with a nice sunset. Next day we started our day with and interesting and fun outing at the Village Long House and follow by visiting the Orangutan.

Let me start off and share some picture and what I have done at the Long House village. Basically LongHouse Village is a hertiage place for the local ethnic groups name : Iban, Bidayuh, Orang Ulu, Melanau and others malay, chinese and indians living there in the olden days.

Firstly before you going to the Long House all of you that go must remember to bring your passport that will be given to you by the staff over there when you buy your ticket to enter.

Look at this long stretch of wooden bridge that we all have to cross is not that long but just that a little unstable and especially for me my leg is so short. Haha.. That's why I hook up the rest at the bad. Oh and during that time the weather is not that good because it's raining..

This is the first house we visited at the village.

This two ladies above will dance whenever there's visitor. While we move on to visit the 2nd house in the village, we saw this old auntie doing this : ( Picture below )

Auntie is about to scoop up those rice and pour it into the brown color thing beside it to grind.

Just like what I'm trying to do. ( :

After a few time of grinding they will pour it into big pot and pound.

Next we move on to the other villages house.

Look at them they're so patient sitting down there producing fabric for different purposes.

After that we went to try blowdart

This is a method of hunting commonly used by the tribes.Plenty of lung power and accuracy is required for an effective shot.

Here it cost 1 ringgit for 3 darts.

Next we went to another villages house and they are performing.

 Once the perform end we move on to watch all of us procced to the auditorium to watch the last performace that perform my all the villages.

After visiting the villages, we went for our lunch  at a near by seafood " Zhi Char "

After our lunch.Next we went to see Orangutan. Yap Orangutan which we can see it in singapore zoo. BUT over there you get to get close to them. You're able to see them walking out with their little one. Just like this ( Picture below ) :

After the long day trip in the day time during the evening time we went back to hotel and have a nice shower and have a short rest before going for dinner. Lastly we ending our 2nd day trip with a beautiful night. ( :

~ KuChing Trip ~ One ~

Hi Everybody .. This time round I went to Kuching for a short getaway with Jerome and his family member. I believe everyone know Kuching is part of Malaysia but you have to take a plane. The flights is about an hour plus.

I'm quite surprise to know Kuching is also known as Sarawak which I didn't know it until I'm there and people over there say so. I always have that thinking of Kuching and Sarawak is two different country. Haha.. Now I finally know is actually the same.

Okay anyway back to topic. So once we arrived in kuching we take a cab head down to our hotel named : Four Point by Sheraton Hotel. This hotel basically is very near to the airport they do provide shuttle bus service to their hotel from airport but just that we doesn't want to wait so we took a cab instead.

While we're waiting at the hotel lobby to be check in. ( : 

Check in is done and now heading to our room. Yeah ! xD

After we settle down, and it's time to go for lunch and we have discuss where to go for lunch etc at last we decided to for the location famous Kolo Mee.

Yap Yap Yap.. Kolo Mee is just look like wanton mee but what's the different between kolo mee and wanton mee ? Let me share with you guys with what's the different that I think.

1.) Kolo Mee is and egg noodles that flash boiled just like how we normally see those noodles stall seller did to the noodles. Follow by just adding with some crushed garlic, shallot, minced pork with some white vinegar , vegetable oil and some char siew on top and that's it for kolo mee and is one of their must try food over there. Anyone of you if you plan to go kuching remember to try their kolo mee is nice and I like it a lot. ( Thumb up )

2.) Therefore Wanton Mee more or less is about the same way of doing it but just that wanton mee normally have some vegetable and of cause Wanton. So that's what the different that I think of between kolo mee and wanton mee.

After our lunch we head down to Sarawak Museum

For your info, they do not allow people taking photos inside the museum both the picture above that I took is just a quick snap before the people that work there see it. hehe xP

After the museum, we continue our journey to our next location which is waterfront over there they have quite a nice view.

This is a small street that we walk pass before the waterfront. This small little street when i walk in make me feel like Singapore Little India. Over there one whole roll of shop house.

This is their waterfront bay. Seriously I have no ideal the opposite building is what.. haha..

 Haha.. I don't know what I'm doing or thinking during that time just randomly post like that.. haha.xD

While we are walking down we pass by a place with a few shops inside selling different things.

This little shop is watch over by one old lady and in the shop she sells all this little little craft thing. After that we continue walking down and we planned to take a boat to the opposite side because they have a shop house selling kway lapis in all sort and different color and design.

While we are waiting for the boat to come.

This is the type of boat that we're going to board to the oppsite side of the river. Just like those olden days kind of boat ride. After we reach we headed for some food we ordered their 3 layer tea, laska.. I like their 3 layer is not sweet and rich but just nice. ( :

While we eating beside the river we saw some people was playing with Jet Ski.

We even took a short video of them playing Jet Ski.
( Sorry if the video look abit blur or if is not clear. Ps : This was my first time uploading video on blog and i'm not to sure how does it actually work. )

Alot people stop there just to watch them playing. Remember I mention we took the boat to the opposite side is for what right ? Yap Yap to the Kway Lapis house. Heheh...

Look at the house is painted in bright red from far you already can see it. Haha..

Look at those Lapis color is just like a rainbow. ( :

I even get to go into their kitchen and watch them bake. I still remember that I was so excited when they say they allow me to go into their kitchen and watch how they bake it.

After that we're all tired and we when to hotel and have an early rest at night because the next day we have to wake up early and prepare for the other activites that we plan. xD

Ending with a nice sunset on the first day trip in Kuching.
